Without the title, and studying the writing for a long while, I never would have known what this was about and the writing detracted from the image.

I still think it detracts... Perhaps a bit more DOF would make them a little more readable and make them part of the image instead of something 'in the way'? (not voting)

LOL! Cute. How in the WORLD did you get this shot posed? Difficult, I'm sure. Still, the tail's details are so lovely, that when I get to his face, I still want to see that detail and it's a bit washed out. Advanced editing would have allowed you to dodge/burn his face to accomodate me, I think. *grin* (not voting)
