Feeling Aloneby ApeeComment: Focus should surely be on the face rather than the electricity poles? Background seems a little dark for this to work well as a silhouette. The title doesn't help me to feel that this fits the bill of 'live music', which to me suggests an audience. |

Still Having Funby bobgaitherComment: Composition doesn't feel balanced, and it's usually a mistake when words in the background are accidentally obscured. I'd have waited for him to look to his left, then cropped tight so he was against the left hand edge of the frame. I don't like the face that half a Les Paul is visible in the background... did you want it as part of the composition or not? White balance seems a little on the blue side. |

California Dreamin'by JutildaComment: His arms have a very strange texture here, possibly as a result of selective desat that I don't believe has helped this photo in any way at all. The background is too cluttered however you choose to process the photo. |

Appaloosaby creeComment: You've captured a nice moment, what looks like the climax of a guitar solo. However, the composition doesn't quite work for me, I think he needs loads more negative space to the left of him in the shot. |

Joyby mmusicanteComment: It almost works as a high key photo, but the burnt out highlights on the sax player's head suggests that this is overexposed instead. I really dislike it when an instrument blocks the eyes of a performer in the background, this can't possibly be deliberate. |

Omaha Bluesby whatdewucComment: Nice silhouette, but there's too much unnecessary space to the left of the microphone and to the right of the performer... I believe it would have been more effective cropped tighter. There's bad jpeg artifacting here, why is the file size so small? A little shadow detail would have improved the photo IMO. |

Captive Audienceby TerramarComment: I like this shot, despite the lack of an audience. A difficult exposure has been handled well, and the composition is very effective. I like the dash of red the coke can provides. |

Brasil Brasilby DvosdonComment: Composition is too cluttered, and the expressions aren't great. Seeing as this is a live music challenge and not a dancing challenge, where are the musicians? There's some nasty jpeg artifacting here, why didn't you use the whole 150kb? |

Country Music Festival Singerby StephenJamesComment: Not quite sharp enough. Face in the background spoils the shot, why cut his head in half? I always feel that if most of an elbow is included in a gig shot, include the whole thing, otherwise it feels accidentally cut off. |
