NYC Meet And Greetby bvyComment: This one is screaming bvy at me. Possible that I've seen it before on your Flickr page, as this cute little girl seems familiar. It also reminds me a little of one of my own shots from last year.

The Guardianby rodgers_leComment: A good effort, but a couple of things are causing me to give this just an average vote:
-The composition comes of to me a touch awkward. My eye is led to that fence and dome on the horizon, but the tree blocks it. A little lower of an angle would have the tree framing it instead of blocking it.
-The grass comes off to me a little too strong. I often reduce the yellow component in foliage so it does not come off with that overpowering punch. |

Gumby's Friends Will Never Believe He's Not Photoshopped Inby sheila99Comment: Considering I gave this a 10, I hope you are flattered that I thought this was Barry's entry. Please accept this humble shoehorn award, recognizing the injection of some much needed humor into a non-humorous challenge topic.
Originally posted by spiritualspatula: My first inclination is to think this is an entry from Yo_Spiff, though I can't say I want to know why you have a barbie (assuming I'm correct).
Regardless, amusing shot. |
Oh, this is even better! You were mistaken for me! Wish I had thought of it. Yes, I would have naked Barbie's around the house. I have girls. At one time my house held the largest naked Barbie collection in Texas. Message edited by author 2010-01-27 00:13:37. |

sometimes we get to see what we've lostby posthumousComment: You got robbed. This was one of my 10's. Wonderful play of light and shadow. I wasn't sure what he was supposed to looking at, however. It looked to me like a librarian poring over an old book. |

Brady Blowing Bubblesby bcrantsComment: Harsh onboard flash is the major thing that is hurting this shot. It is a cute catch of the moment, however. |

Bubbles??by RikakoComment: Not finding much here, I'm afraid. There is nothing in clear focus and the subject being shoved over in the frame does not seem to work well for this. |

bubbleby brittany26Comment: Nice big one, for sure. Not sure I could manage one that big with a little bubble wand. Photo is an average snapshot, I'm afraid. Grainy and soft. Also, the harsh midday sun causes overly bright highlights.
Not sure what to suggest, but I don't think there is much that could to be done to help this shot. Best thing might be to reshoot it in better light. Sorry to be so harsh, but I feel I can't leave a lowball vote without also leaving an explanation. |
