Phantom Fleetby vawendyComment: Wow, no follow up comments prior to this? That's got to be a rare thing for you. Probably because it doesn't have a squirrel in it. :-{
Interesting thing I noticed now, looking at this with a different monitor than the one at home. The fleet in the background has a bit of a posterized appearance, instead of a very smooth and light faded look. Monitors make a huge difference when it comes to how subtleties are displayed. |

High on the Jobby adigitalromanceComment: Not that it hasn't already been posted during the challenge, but I thought you might like some further feedback. I'm actually surprised this pulled as high an average as it did. I do like the way the water tower itself looks, but there is a ton of unattractive blotchiness and haloing in the sky. I gave it a 5 and expected this to come in with a high 4 or low 5 average. Unbroken skies can be difficult, and in advanced editing, I almost always edit sky and foreground separately to try and keep this from happening. I live in one of those glass houses, though, and have had my own share of PP induced halo disasters. |

Own the roadby Yo_SpiffComment: Originally posted by Melethia: Don't know why you're surprised - this is a great shot! (I'm a bit biased based on the subject matter, but I still think it's a great shot.) |
I suppose it just didn't look the way I had envisioned for something taken at about 0745. When they got up the hill and closer to me, I was much happier with the appearance, but those didn't suit the topic.

the owl and the elephantby skewsmeComment: I immediately saw the owl, but it took a few more moments to see the elephant he is perched on top of. Well seen! |

Thirst for Another Gearby DrunkcaballoComment: Love it! Makes me want to go out and ride, but not with my eyes all squinted up and blurry. What's the schmutz on the water bottle? |
