I like the colors and the play of light on the guitar. You need to watch your JPEG compression ratio, however. I can see some compression artifacts in this, most clearly around the volume and tone dials, also quite a bit in the lighter reflection under the strings. Your file size is only 75k and you could have used up to 150k, which would have eliminated visible artifacting.

I would think this was an lpatrick entry, except that I think he is in the Money challenge instead. Definitely his abstract style, however. It's curiously engaging. I find that as I look at it, there are very subtle details and textures that I begin to see in the pattern. Pure abstracts tend to not do well in voting, I'll be curious to see how this one does.

A pleasant scene and decently done, but it does not seem to have any of the punch to it that I have seen in many similar landscape shots. Maybe needs some more levels/curves tweaks?

It does not stink at all. It is on the higher side of a 5 and I can see in the voting breakdown that a lot of people liked it. You just had a large batch of 4's dragging it down as well. I think this may have just needed a little more visual impact in it. Maybe some slightly different lighting of a touch of some additional adjustment? Not really sure. I gave it a 5.
