 I simply setup my son with a Bass guitar and had him pluck the strings.
I had my D200 on a tripod with cable release set to ISO100 F8 and shuter speed set to bulb
I had natural light comming from a window behind me.
I just timed the exposure by hand which turned out to be 2.4 seconds. Ideally I would have liked him to keep the bass totally still but hey...

A good idea, but unfortunately poorly executed. A small boy could have done better!!

I like the colors and the play of light on the guitar. You need to watch your JPEG compression ratio, however. I can see some compression artifacts in this, most clearly around the volume and tone dials, also quite a bit in the lighter reflection under the strings. Your file size is only 75k and you could have used up to 150k, which would have eliminated visible artifacting.
