The original idea was to have the mom hold her baby standing still and sharp, with the two year old circling around her to make the blur.

Well, baby was napping at first, so we didn't want to wake him. 2 yr. old needed constant motivation from mom to walk around her doing things, so she was blurry. This was the best shot of the series, but not really what I had in mind. I actually did kind of like the colors of her room and thought they photographed well. There was a crispness to the background that offset the blurring nicely.

This would have been more powerful I think if the mother stood still to remain perfectly sharp, and the little guys was blurred just as he is.

Yeah, they're everywhere at once, aren't they? Great shot.9

Been there, done that, and feel your pain!

Had you managed to get the mother more solid, it would have cemented this image. Another idea is to have the last image of the boy in perfect focus too. (Not for the challenge of course, but using all kinds of cloning layers).

There's some great outside-of-DPC potential in this photo.

Would be much more effective if the mother stood completely still and didn't blur. Very creative idea though!

I know the feeling. Just wait for 17.
