The lines on the white space are great for a nostalgic feel. I am really drawn to the tension between the door and the people. B & W is great as well.

To me this has a theatre set feel to it. It could work for a Tom Sawyer set. I like it. Kinda looks like he's taking a pee though. Good thing he is looking up.

I wonder if the crop was a bit different. Maybe the tow rope being right through the corner of the frame and having more room to the top and left of the sail. This could create some tension with the person at the lower right rule of thirds and the sail at the upper left rule of thirds. It is grainy though I think this could be from the cropping. The blues are fabulous.
