Pretty funny, and obviously took time and care to prepare.

Interesting minimalist take on the challenge. Good choice to have the wires sharp and the background out of focus. Also good choice to have subdued colors.

Nice sculpting to capture the third dimension better than most of the competition. Lovely soft colors and delicate detail work well.

Great to have all the fine variations of colored threads. Could be framed and displayed in a museum of modern art.

Comment:
If your title correctly identifies the subject as an apple (the wrinkles and colors do seem consistent with a dried piece of formerly desirable fruit), you may be at risk of someone noticing an implied transition process from once living to no longer living (with ironic indirect reference to the childhood rhymed advice finishing with "keeps the doctor away" -- but too late for this patient). Unfortunately, that might also trigger memory of the specially flagged notice attached to this challenge: "Extra rules apply to this challenge Shots of currently living or once living things may be disqualified" (underline and bold added). Otherwise nicely detailed and interesting.

My eye would rank this much higher. Not only good documentary image of the critter, but also interesting expression, good use of light, exemplary composition, and title conveying good advice to photographers as well as lizards. If B&W images could be ranked separately from the others, this image would be 17th instead of 67th. Yeah, maybe that's what we need.

Nice compromise between macro detail and garden setting elements. Should do well.
