Is it really ok to think of a dog as a children's toy (even recognizing a possible play on words with the breed classification if that is "toy")?

Nice light, and a gentle gesture of girl toward horse, but I balk at considering a horse to be a toy.

The lighting avoids harsh shadows, which is good. However, this might benefit from being shot from lower down and closer in. A looming mound of jumbled toys would be more interesting and creative to my eyes than just looking down them. This also suffers from being smaller on screen than the competition. Consider making the long dimension 640 pix. next time.

A brighter exposure might help, and I wonder whether it is legitimate to consider a puppy to be a toy.

Nice pose amd built-in fun expression, but the bright spot on the background, the harsh shadow, the grain/noise, and the uneven junction of the backdrop with the foreground are distracting.

Funniest entry of the lot. Certainly creative and interesting. With slightly greater depth of field I would have bumped it up to 8.

I liked the "blue with a splash of sun" version better, partly because it has more vivid colors in larger patches but also because the better- defined motion comes closer to oil painting brush strokes. This one feels less energetic, but it is pretty in a different way.

LOL. Just got back from a local festival complete with craft booths. With that mind set, the thumbnail and title attracted my attention as a possible image of a musical saw done in a creative way. Of course, opening the image reveals not that, but instead a well-captured slice of life from between two buildings, and a very nice black and white conversion too.

I perceive a bearded figure with light clothing and a head covering looking out a small window in a thick wall. The blur and yellow-brown tones make me think of old paintings of persecuted religious men in biblical times. I like the somber mood.
