Rainbow Abstractby luvmyaussieComment: Pure rainbow with no distraction -- a beautiful abstract and exactly on target for the challende. I'm pleased to learn that this is a real rainbow, even if from a garden hose. That makes me feel even better about the high score I gave it. Sorry to see the ranking, which is much lower than I expected, even given DPC's reputation for undervaluing abstracts and less than crysal sharp images. |

Orb Weaver (Il Ragno)by annigComment: First impression: cosmic spider. The soft b&w conversion turns the background into clouds and the web into a structure emerging from the moon and descending through the sky. Macro lenses really do open up an entirely different and wonderful universe. |

Watch Your Stepby JuliBocComment: the display has a 1950's feel with this treatment, at least until I otice the newer cars. Nicely done. |

Nature's Candyby cynthiannComment: Beautiful colors, almost abstract (I like abstract) so the shape of a glass jar only gradually oozes into awareness. Excellent image. |

Aloneby beamsclanComment: I would not be surprised to find this in a gallery or museum. Love the simplicity, colors, reflections, and mood. |

Colorful Feathersby ChinabunComment: Playful, colorful, engergetic, and crative. Not a copy of an imprssionist work, but in the spirit of the movement. I like it a lot. |

A Droopy Pairby ButterflyGirlComment: Wonderful simplicity and study on the play of light in an everyday setting. One of my top ten for the challenge. |

Psychedelic Frogby sh0rtyComment: Interesting play on light and color, with the subject remaining identifiable. The impressionist art I have seen focuses on the play of natural light, so I struggle with the role of 60's black-light poster effects in the setting of this challenge. Point for creativity, counterbalanced by my not liking those posters much in the first place. Then extra point for making me think (a good function for art). |
