Ouchby karmatComment: Nope, shot in manual, and it was almost directly backlit, and as a result was nearly washed out. Agree about the crop. It was one of those times when you end up too close to the action -- this also added to the 'softness' as it moved out of the focus plain by the time the camera fired. (gotta love the 300D). |

IMG_4546.jpgby ZippyComment: I like the "pose" and expression in the shot. The focus is a bit soft, though. |

Sports 3by KatmystiryComment: Good action. Yea, moving clouds have messed me up more than once as well. :) Why does he wear two different shoes? |

Full speedby MaggyeComment: I thought it was a woman in the background -- haha. Anyway, aside from banning spectators from moving around the perimeter of the fields, about the only think we can do is be mindful of "If I shoot right here, what *else* is in the picture that I may not realize." |

IMG_2041dpc.jpgby bobonacusComment: Good composition. the player is in a good spot in the frame, and the ball and its movement help to balance the shot. |

IMG_2096dpc.jpgby bobonacusComment: I like how you have isolated the main player here, and how it looks like the girl behind her looks like she is getting ready to trip her. "Half-people" bother me, though, so I would think a crop to include her, and less on the right side of the frame would feel more "complete." |

IMG_1921.JPGby LadyKComment: Even without editing, I think this has the potential to be a good shot. A boost in levels/contrast, or brightened a bit will really help. Then, a tighter crop on the left to force the eyes to anticipate what is coming in the frame from the right helps to build the action. |
