I find the simplicity of the colors and the composition very intriguing. It looks like the leaf is dancing or something. Might have been neat (though it would be a totally different pic) if you could arrange two of them (maybe a yellow or orange one) and make it look like they were dancing together. Very nice pic, I like the red on black. karmat 8

Cool effect, adn I like teh symmetry. The only suggestion would be to find a cheap piece of cloth to use as a backdrop. For me at least, the wood grain is slight disconcerting, though it does give a "bar top" feel to it.
