Neat shot. I think a differently colored background would have given this shot a little more interest, though your current background does serve to provide a nice contrast with the pine cone.

I can't tell if it is a lack of focus, neatimage, or just muted colors, but it just seems to lack punch. Maybe some contrast added to it, or something. Also, though I know it is not tilted (the river leads nicely up and into the picture) the road or whatever that is at the top gives the impression that it is tilted.

I am going to assume it is my monitor (though I can see the bars at the bottom), but it is a touch too dark I think. while this lends to a dramatic effect, it leaves the viewer lacking if they are looking for texture.

An interesting concept and approach. However, the "monitor" is a bit blown out, while the rest of it is way too dark; barely any texture or anything visible.

Interesting technique, but I think that if it didn't have the dark triangle on the right, it would look less like an accident. Right now, it seems to me like you saw something interesting, and had to shoot quickly before it was gone, resulting in a haphazard composition. Cropping it so that the triangle wasn't showing would make for a stronger composition, but hten you would lose the other squiggly lines on the right.
