Safeby ElaineComment: Good capture. i think if the greens could have been a bit bolder, it would have really made this image stand out more. |

Field of flowersby LitlaComment: I like the contrast between the blue and yellow. It is a bit bright to me, but it may be my monitor. good work. |

Floatingby kris11Comment: Very very nice. I love the contrast between the blue and the yellow, and how the "diagonal" of the blue in the sky corresponds with the diagonal colors on the balloon. |

Tufa in Black and Whiteby 2mccsComment: I really like the contrast between the large and small in this composition, and the black and white is AWESOME! The only things that bother me are clouds. While I understand that you can't change the cloud structure, the ones one the left almost overpower the primary structure. The small ones on the right almost look like bad use of a smudge tool. I am voting as if they are natural, because I have no way of knowing otherwise, but since it is advanced editing, I think I would recommend cloning them (on the right) out, or making them blend with the overall sky better. |

Cows with palm trees and laundry backgroundby PaulEComment: CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE
by karmat
Hey, two cow pictures in a row for me. :)
Compositionally, I think this is one that works well with a centered composition. Because of general height of the heads and the gentl outward/downward sloping of the cows bodies, it still has feeling of "movement" and is not static like some centered compositions.
The exposure is good, if a bit flat, and the orange colors in the background really add some context and "flavor" to the shot.
Inside the head of the dpc voter -- This is one of those shots that is technically executed well, but simply doesn't have enough of a story or "oomph" to keep the viewer's attention long enough to bump it up a point or two. I suppose you could say it is lacking in "wow." It fits the challenge well, but I'm not really sure what I can offer as a way of suggestions to make it "better". Within the constrains of the challenge topic, and assuming you haven't trained these animals to sit like this, most of the "changes" would have to be in post processing, and you have done an excellent job of that so far.
Good work.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

Arrrrrrgghhhby dickwilhelmComment: While boating normally doesn't appeal to me on any level, this shot is very interesting in that the foreground has a lot of detail to look at, but the boat in the distance in also in focus and also offere some interest to the shot. Good work. |

Sigrún Freyjaby HauxonComment: What a beautiful little girl. The "wildness" of her hair really adds to the naturalness of the shot. Great work. |

Great Falls Tavernby LanceWComment: This is really nice. you have some good black tones in here and the slight motion in the pond really adds some drama to teh shot. |
