I think this photo meets the challenge but the colors look to unrealistic for my taste. I can't really offer you much more than that. The color is the subject of the image and there isn't much beyond that to discuss...

Framed Playmoby ZiggiComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Ziggi...
I can't offer you much critique on this photo. It meets the challenge in a small way and not much more. The focus here is a bit soft and the depth of field is not very appropriate for this image. I can't find any artistic value in the image.

The Way Homeby ShadowfaxComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Shadowfax...
Sidenote: I'm listening to "Folksongs for a Nuclear Village" as I write this critique :)
This is a nice photo and I like most of what I see. The horizon tilt is not a good thing in this photo though. Also, as far as challenges are concerned, your score probalby suffered because your 'framing' element is not the primary impact of this photograph. It's a smaller secondary 'supportive' element. This particular image may have also made a stronger vertical shot as well....

downtown Miamiby scottsComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Scotts...
This photo meets the challenge. It feels a bit weak in overall visual appeal though. The 'framing' feels a bit overpowering compared to the subject. Maybe a different time of day would produce a higher impact photo in this case. The haze makes the subject a bit 'muddy' and a lot of detail is lost.

A Drop of Sue by mrorange002Comment: This is simply beautiful. This is probably the best execution of this technique that I have seen. It's definitely my favorite. = 10 |

Daddy! Get it off me!by CamazineComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Camazine...
This is a neat humor photo, but I couldn't find much significance with it outside of that. I'm sure this photo also suffered from a lack of a tie to a 'known' fairy tale also. Getting close here was a good idea, but the light from the camera flash doesn't really create visual impact. I can't really offer much critique beyond that....
Better luck next time :)

"Light" Beerby md8speedComment: mmmmmm.. Deschutes :) Home of "Obsidian Stout"... my favorite of the west coast non-micro stouts :) I can't buy it here though because NC has a 6% maximum alcohol content law... it sucks to live in a culturally deprived part of the country :( |
