This is an excellent portrait photo... very nice work... The texture of the watermelon slice works well, as does the texture of the freckles on the child's face... I love the composition on this one.. it makes me wonder what he is looking at in the distance outside the frame. The backlighting behind his eye on the right side of the frame adds a nice touch as well... good shot :) = 8 - jmsetzler

very nice image... this makes an excellent black and white for sure. I think this is also a great example of where soft focus sets a nice mood for the image. The texture in this image that really grabs me is the texture of the light and shadows... if that is what you were aiming for, you did an excellent job... = 9 - jmsetzler
