Hanging Aroundby ArtanComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
Hi Artan...
I think this is a very peaceful image. I read through your comments and it seems that the collective 'voter' thinks you didn't really meet the challenge, which is unfortunate. There are several comments about the size of the 'people' and the people not being the main focus of your image. I disagree with both. The people are the subject of this photo, and no matter how large or small they are in the image, the photo simply wouldn't exist without them. In the context of a challenge, the average voter seems to have preconceived notions about what they want to see, which is normal. Everyone likes to talk about getting outside the 'box', but when we do so, our scores normally suffer for it. Creative thinking an a challenge mode is a good thing, but you have to do it while beating the voter over the head with the topic, so it isn't so easy in most cases. I wouldn't chage much about this particular photo. Nice work :)

Boldly going...by bucketComment: I have been reserving comment on this photo all week. I haven't been able to come up with the words I want to use to describe what I see here. First of all, this is an excellent image. It screams of the innocence of childhood. The theme of 'boldy going' seems to indicate a small child in a large world... exploring.... The composition of this photo feels a little cramped, which somewhat contraditcs that theme possibly... just some food for thought... |

Weatheredby nico_blueComment: This photo has a nice mood to it. I also think the centered subject works nicely in this composition because of the mutiple leading lines. Excellent shot... |

Mother and daughterby LalliSigComment: Lovely portrait. The black and white works nicely as does the cath lighting in the eyes. The diagonal composiiojn here also adds a nice viewing experience... excellent work. |

Freckles & Dirtby smellyfish1002Comment: This is excellent work. The eyes in this portrait are mesmerizing, and your choice of toning is strong also. |

Icy Tacksby alonzo4bComment: Greetings from the critique club...
#1 - a photographer who is asking for critique should always include as much information as possible in the photogrpaher's comments block when submitting an image. It's very useful to have your thoughts on the image when I try to offer mine. I can give you more useful feedback if I know your personal objective.
#2 - this photo meets the challenge, but I can't see much in it beyond that. Does the photo have an objective beyond meeting the challenge?
#3 - I can't see any reason for the subject area of this image not to be 'tack' sharp. The soft/out of focus element doesn't add much in my opinion. |

A Portrait of An Artist by librodoComment: This is a great photo. The depiction definitely says something about the subject other than "Hey.. Here I am!" You have created a connection between the viewer and subject.. excellent work... |

M.C. Escher's Boyhood Houseby mariomelComment: This was my favorite shot in this challenge. I didn't comment on it during the challenge though. This was a very rare breath of fresh air for me in an otherwise very painful challenge to vote. |
