Edison's Gift by stephanComment: This is an excellent photo... also a very tough photo to compose in a rectangle :) did you consider going with a vertical crop on this one? I think it would have been stronger that way.. = 9 - setzler |

Churchill’s Quandaryby MorganComment: This photo has very little 'subjective' impact. "What" you choose to photograph is very important. It's half the battle. "How" you choose to photograph it is the other half. When you create a nice combination and balance between the two, you will have great shots :) - setzler |

Lady in Red by SeekerComment: excellent shot :) very creative use of lighting here... I believe that centering your subject here would be even stronger.... good work :) - setzler |

fountainby cq107Comment: A shot like this needs to be a longer exposure to nicely illuminate the fountains... i think you will probably get hammered here for multiple light sources... - setzler |

what goes in....by matmanComment: I think this one should have been straightened up just a bit... subjectively, I don't care for it... objectively, its a good shot :) - setzler |

Guiding Lightby ioComment: This is a nice shot... I think the 'single artificial light source' may be in question on this one... - setzler |

Triscapeby FrooberComment: excellent shot... the composition here is great and I love the reflections... critique: the only thing I would have probalby attempted differently in this shot would have been to replace that yellow block with something less reflective. The yellow is reflecting much more of your light source and it's exposure level is a LOT hotter than the rest of the blocks. Instead of having a smooth eye transition across this photo, the eye is immediately drawn directly to the right side of the image. A good photogrpahy guideline is that your photo reads like a book... top down and left to right... (guideline, not rule!) Metering and evenly exposing a photo like this is difficult, but you have done a good job. Another note... did you look at this photo rotated 180°? Good work :) - setzler |
