Hi Jon...

I think I summed up my opinion on this photo in my original comment. The composition and idea behind this photograph are both excellent. It's just something about the hands looking dirty to me that makes this photo fall. It makes it feel cold and harsh instead of warm and loving, which, by the title, would be my derivation of the theme you are presenting here. It creates a bit of internal conflict in your image.
