Hi Mhamilton...

I think this is an excellent composition and study in shapes/contrast. I think it may also have some strong potential as a black and white because of those elements and the texture of the ice. As far as point of view is concerned, I don't think this is a particularly strong image. The point of view for this photo doesn't seem to add to the impact of the image. The contrast and shapes are dominant. Challenges usually require some fine attention to the challenge topic. Your approach to the topic should be clear and well-defined.

This is a nice composition, but the light source seems to be stationary. Moving the light source around during the exposure creates the 'painting with light' effect.
