Captivating image. Great vintage feel to this. The old style broom is a great addition to the shot and its impact. Nary a trace of modernity to be seen. Feels like a snapshot of the past (not snapshot in the usual dpc negative sense).

Generally, if you crop your main subject, you should do so symmetrically (top and bottom, left and right, or all sides). Try cropping your image so just the right edge of the right ear is also cropped.
Also, it looks like the cat's eyes are looking over the left shoulder of the viewer - may have had more impact if it was looking directly at the viewer.
This is a great image, precise focus, excellent dof, excellent lighting, very nice complementary bokeh.
I can't explain the 1 votes (not that I understand dpc voters anywho, but... it did make the difference between a 5.32 & 5.52). Guess the voters have seen a cat before... ;-p

Masterful job. Where else would Saruman be? Of all the scenes in the movie, I hated his the most. To me it looked more let a petulant 6 year old than the head of the order of wizards on middle earth!
What a great tribute to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. That church is absolutely amazing.
