Day6 : e v e n i n g - w a l k by vikasComment: I love the corn in the background. Detail around the girl and the dog is lacking. I think the path curving clear across the front of the shot leads the eye away from the subject - the girl & dog. Perhaps a tighter crop, bringing in the path from the lower left corner, and trying to put the girl and the dog on thirds verticals, and adjust so a strong horizontal line is on the thirds horizontals. |

Day 13 - 2nd Attemptby WalesPComment: You definitely got rid of the reflections, and this is quite nice. I agree that the bottom of the bowl is fuzzy. You've also got some "banding" in the white near the bottom. There are still some minor reflections in the base of the glass. But all in all, this is definitely better than your first attempt. It does make a very cool shot. |

Day 12: On the Strong Riverby jasonlpriceComment: Nice shot, but I see this as a you-need-to-choose shot - what is your focus - the incredible clouds? or the forest, river, and boy? This shot has a strong dividing line just about dead center top to bottom. I think it would be stronger either as a cloud shot or river shot, and not try to include both. Try cropping it at the top of the 2nd highest clump of leaves on the tree at the right (river shot) or at the top of the highlighted tree left of center (cloud shot). Personally, I favor the river shot, because it includes just enough of the spectacular clouds without losing the great river/forest/child detail. |

sleeping cityby ordinaryangelComment: I find all the wires a distraction, but until they bury them all, what are you going to do? I just don't take shots where the wires ruin them - it is just too frustrating. But, now that we have digital editing... |

Day 11 - Lakeby JLCComment: With the auto features of many digitals, you get two very different light readings from sky (which would black out most of the rest) or from the woods (and maybe, in this shot, off the lake). Looks like you made the right choice - with good detail in the foreground at the expense of an overexposed sky. Late in the day you makes your choices and takes your chances. Use auto-bracketing to give you several choices - auto-bracket does one shot at your settings, one shot 1/3 step (or your setting) underexposed, and one shot 1/3 step overexposed. It is a feature I don't remember to use often, but can be very helpful in this type of shooting situation. You may have been able to crop a little more from the left side (so the large left tree is cropped about as much as the tree on the far right) to achieve a little better balance to your "frame" - but the trees do serve as a very nice frame for your main subject. |

Before the Stormby bleuComment: The bottom of the right shade is aligned too closely with the top of the building. It was not obvious to me at first that the grey under the shade was sky. |
