You caught a nice gleam in her eyes. :) I like the side lighting and you handled the exposure quite well (IMO), covering a nice tonal range. I might consider losing just a tad off the top. |

Excellent expression, and love that she's looking directly into the camera. She is very engaging and friendly. I think the bright light on her nose and chin detract from the shot. I'd suggest you try a crop of this that bisects the wooden post (no further to the left than the left edge of the top ridge) and removes about 1/2 of the black above her head. The wood grain in the post is wonderful, but the shot doesn't need the whole post - just part of it. As it is, the post detracts because it is a strong image and does not appear to be quite straight. |
