A new dayby psartComment: Beautiful picture. Reminds me of walks in the woods in Oregon. Nice greens and lighting on trees. Unfortunately, no sun in frame, so DNMC |

Peachby AVPComment: The sun is over-blown and looks WAY over-processed. Don't know if this is straight from camera, or if it happened post-proc, but it is really bad. It is really too bad, because otherwise this shot is gorgeous - nice definition on the clouds, nice capture of bird in flight, and silhouette of the tree. Nice line of hills in background bottom left. Without the problems with the sun, this would be a 7 or 8 from me. |

Butterflyby ddphillComment: Sun in frame? Difficult lighting? Nice butterfly shot - if it met challenge I'd give it a 6. |

Sunrise, Sunsetby dsmilComment: Beautiful color and composition. The horizon not being level with the bottom of the photo really detracts from the shot. |

Salt Princessby NaldComment: Love the white on white, with the placement of the horizon to give greater contrast to the face. Shadow is at the edge and goes out of shot, so it is not distracting. Flying netting is a big plus. Top that all off with a wonderful smile - very, very nice. Some may complain this is not close enough, but the distance is necessary to convey the wide open spaces of the salt flats. |

the house the jack builtby NorthStarComment: I can understand why you cropped this the way you did. For me, the child is too small, and gets lost in the great surroundings. If he was standing just where the path meets the lower edge of the picture, it might have made a big difference.
This looks like a fun place. |

Pinwheelby pipersdComment: The difference in lighting between the background and your subject's face really works against this shot. Nice highlights on the hair, great expression and great pose, but that shadow on the face just kills it.
Regardless, this makes me smile - sure looks like he's enjoying the outing and his pinwheel! |

In the Bayby KarenNfldComment: Love the stark white of the iceberg against the red house with white trim. Excellent lighting. |
