 Private boathouse on the River Dee.

9am on a frosty morning, there were no fantastic waterfalls or rapids around, so the tiny old boathouse made an interesting subject. I know I'll be up against the best of Icelandic waterfalls but I'll have to make do...

:-)

The roof looks oversaturated but that was the yellow light from the sunrise.

Those grasses to the left of the boathouse are huge! At first glance, this looks like a miniature. Gotta love that morning light! Beautiful reflections on the river.

The only thing that I think works against this shot is the empty space in the upper right. I wonder if you mirrored the image, so the blank space (lawn) was leading edge if that would "improve" it.

Good composition. It seems a bit warm (white balance), and the contrast is a bit stark. Otherwise, a good shot.

The lighting washed out the details of the boathouse a bit. Maybe a touch too tight a crop up top for my taste. Still a solid 6 for me, though. I have some David Winter cottages that look almost like this.
