Secondary saladby pikytoComment: the lighting is very harsh on this, and compositionally, the blue background is not doing anything for the colours, nor is this particular arrangment and angle. Perhaps something closer and more abstract? |

Wine and Cheeseby orussellComment: the crop seems a bit tight. I wouldn't have minded more of the glass and a bit more of the bottle. Perhaps its the constraining border colour that bothers me..not sure, but the border for sure is too thick and not a colour that is bringing out the best in your picture. |

Green Water Dropby craigantComment: the waves in the green and the reflection of the drop make this shot. Borders a bit heavy, but it matches the black and shadows in the drop. nicely done if not a bit overprocessed since the drop's highlights look jagged and artifacty. |

Orange beautiesby kebbieComment: dsidwell has a great post in the forums about how to size your picture for the web. You might find it helps you when fixing your pictures for submission. The colours here are brilliant but the shot seems a bit overprocessed and is too small to really tell, sadly. |

Fruit Bowlby jpb56nyComment: the way this is lit (on board flash it seems) make the whole thing look flat. Perhaps more selective lighting would have brought out the contours of the fruit more. |
