good perspective on this. At first I thought I wanted the shadow on the right gone, but decided upon looking again that it adds dimension to the boat. Makes it seem a whole lot bigger than the viewer! On composition, I would have liked to catch the bottom of the star, but that's a minor point. (no pun intended!)

slightly oversharp or maybe overexposed? (there is a strange glare off some of the sides of the thicker strokes of paint) but good colour.

sunsets can be pretty cliche, but you did a good job of capturing the colours and leaving the landscape as a silhouette. The tree looks like its reaching to touch the sky!

the lamp to the left is extremely distracting, and the entire picture seems too dark to really appreciate the colours found in this window, I do like the idea of the shot though! Perhaps a different angle (maybe higher?) would have aided the composition.

that's a wicked shadow being cast along the bottom of the photo, it completely ruins the effect I think you are trying to achieve. As well, the entire shot is out of focus, and composition would be improved if the shot were straighter and shot from more toward the right. Keep trying though!

I'm unsure what the focus was intented to be on, but the DOF is too shallow, or the focal point is somewhere I can't discern. Its terribly out of focus, and doesn't meet the challenge. I'm sorry to say I scored it quite low. I do, however, enjoy your composition (just needs to be a little higher to get the bottom of the drum) and the lighting isn't bad at all either. :) keep trying!

Alice's Backdoor

you know that song by smokey? Don't recall the title, but the chorus goes "I'll never get used to not living next door to alice..." I'll spare you the audience refrain on that one, but needless to say, many drunk college students would happily tell you. All this by way of useless comments, but I do like the colours of Alice's door. I wish the garbage can was not tipping over, its distracting. But I like the composition, gives me the feeling that i'm walking right up to the door.

I love composition of this photograph. The background blends with the last blue glass and gives great depth to the photo. I also like the way the green colour bled through the yellow drink, gives it a wild mixed look. 9

I had this idea, but I didn't think I'd be able to pull it off, well done! the colours on the surface of the bubble are great. If you had been able to get your lighting so that one side is a little more lit, it might have looked like a rising sun on the bubble planet..but that's just an idea!
