Pay attention to where your camera is choosing for the focus point, you want it on the right point on the flower.

Another thing that flower photography needs is an even light, notice the harsh shadow line in the cup of the daffodil. That isn't pleasant to the human eye. You can avoid this by using something to diffuse the light....either a translucent reflector or something simpler that will let light through yet soften the shadowing
