burning trollby cutoutComment: A strain of the imagination is hardly necessary to see what's left of the troll being held up for sacrifice -- about to be tossed into the charred heap. It's an image of hell, and I love it. I think the cinematic aspect ratio costs it some impact here (on any computer screen actually), but a crop would ruin it. It needs its own wall, where it would do nothing less than transfix and transform the viewer. Astounding work. My top pick. |

art is boringby jmritzComment: It's a smartly composed graphic composition. What's striking is the contrast between the cluttered left side and empty right side. More striking is that this completely haphazard arrangement somehow feels perfect -- as though changing or moving any one thing would make it fall apart. The sickly yellow-green is relieved only by some splatters of red on the left side. The self deprecating title, in spite of itself, makes us look longer, harder. This is right up my alley. I like it a lot. |

finem vitaeby mefnjComment: An oddity for sure. The way the column of light hits the steer (?) skull, the flooded or floorless room, the featureless three-dimensional space. If not composed, it's one hell of a find. Metaphors abound. |

tensionby oldbimmercoupeComment: I like that it doesn't conform to the frame; I might have been tempted to force into a thirds-grid. The pattern of the rug and the pattern of the light seem at odds. The burnt colors and the itchy fibers add further -- well, tension. |

Pauseby AmmieComment: Quirky for sure, and one that I could like more with each look. The odd foliage, twisted bicycle, and rustic bench tease and please the eye. The cool earthy tones are pleasing. |

When will it endby NeatComment: A dreamscape. The feeling of running or pursuing, even though our striped-shirt subject appears to be in no hurry. Feels like we'll never catch up -- and that it will indeed never end. |

see ya later alligatorby tvsometimeComment: To dismiss this as a snapshot would be a great loss. And maybe it is a snapshot. (I hope it is.) Meaningless definitions aside, what we have here is a beautifully captured farewell. The longer-than-handheld exposure has captured not only the woman's smeary wave, but a ghostly hand (the photographer's?) waving back. The license plate adds local color. The mirror and A-pillar not only enhance the composition but also add point of view. I would love to see this as the first in a series, maybe a photographic travelogue from behind the driver's seat. |

web of remorseby daisydavidComment: A struggle seems to be taking place here, though the more I try to follow it and make sense of it, the more evasive it becomes. Wonderful sci-fi, very psychedelic. |

Woodby CEJComment: Vive la Rule of Thirds! Fibonacci could take a lesson.
Excellent. |
