Octopusby SteefComment: I've always wondered about so called "sprocket hole photography" -- I thought it just another cheesy low-tech effect. But here I see an application where it truly adds something to the overall presentation. The image alone would have worked, but the tight horizontal framing, enhanced by the sprocket holes, really give this a sense of scale -- a claustrophobic feeling, if you will. Really brings it to life. Nice job! |

the old oak treesby tph1Comment: Thanks for the follow up. I kind of wish you had picked a more obviously "old" subject. I figured it was a pinhole or zone plate shot and have been itching to reward such an entry. Challenge theme aside, I love the effect. |
