Lurkingby soupComment: This is amazing lighting. The sweep of the wiskers the glow of the eye. Simple and marvelous. I might crop a bit on the left - perhaps just to the left of the middle of the face. There feels like too much darkness and low detail on the left side of the frame. This one will be added to my favorites! 9 |

Cold Weather Eagle by zimmanjComment: Great capture! I like how we can see the heat of its breath. Dynamic composition - the diagonal line of the bird. I like how the light catches the top edge of the feathers. Nice undestractiing background, good uase of DOF. Wish it were bigger/ better resolution. 8 |

Simple Pleasuresby moodvilleComment: The light glows, and those eyes have such a deep and contented expression! Raises the crumpled grass to almost religious status - I exagerate perhaps but it is very emotive. Nice composition with the corner of the eye on the thirds line and the arm reaching diagonally to the corner. The only thing I'd wish is you'd been able to come around to the left a bit more and frame the grass against the darkness. 9 |

Lord and Masterby ImagineerComment: Slice of British life. Lovely green, lush grass, frames by the trees on either side. Very orderly and pleasant. The man with the cane climbs briskly toward the house, his dog give weight to the word "master" in the title. Wish the composition of man and dog could be more harmonious - the dog doesn;t seem to be heeding too well. |

Indian Toolby katlynComment: A nice idea - very NG. I winder at your choice of blue background. It is so pale that the stone doesn't stand out too well. The light is a bit glaring on the top - perhaps lights from the sides at a low angle would catch more details of this fine point. |

Following man´s footstepsby AlexysComment: An interesting modern version the classic barefoot footsteps of ancestors in fossilized volcanic ash. Here are the unnatural angles of a shoe and treads. I like the blue shadows rippling in the sand. |

Sunset on the Snake Riverby sagestudioComment: Lovely sunset - fantastic colors and clouds. I wish we could see some of the river. Perhaps it is there, I just can;t tell because it is so dark. |

Ancient Egyptianby jaykeComment: Wonderful detail in the stone. I like how the white object in the back frames the left side of the face, but I also find it a bit distracting. Maybe a crop on the left and bottom to put the white object right in the corner - but then you'd lose the points of the headress. I don't know what to suggest. I like the yellow of the wall and how it brings out the color of the stone. |

Rocky Mountain Morningby mhamiltonComment: I like the blue of the shadows.Perhaps it is the resolution, but it doesn;t seem quite sharp. As for composition - all that deep blue sky is marvelous, but I'd include more foreground. |

Time Stands Still in the Rural Southby dagaleaaComment: I like the glow and soft focus. Adds to the feeling the title makes you look for. I wish the tricycle had a completely dark backdrop - the wheel of the cart breaks up the lines. I like having the old cars on either side. |
