Swamp Dragonby amsmythComment: It is a bit of a puzzle - and I like that - look for the dragon. I found it - head on the upper right. Perhaps to rotate this a bit clockwise to make it a bit more dramatic composition, and since this is an "advanced editing" you could make the "eye" red or green to aid the imagination a bit. |

Rocky Mountain Sheepby falveyComment: I like the composition the way the sheep is "caught" between the snow and the gray branches. The light is a bit flat, the sheep blends into the background a bit much. What would happen if you played with the contrast a bit? The snow is already a bit bright, I'd selectively exclude that from any changes. |

Year of the Pigby NeuferlandComment: Nice shapes and shadows, and I like how the red cloth is refleted in the pig. I guess the pig is yellow? But I can't get past the feeling the light is too yellow - I think it would have more impact if the pig were brighter, and the red more red. Color cast would be a simple solution, and maybe bump the contrast a little. |

The Rabbitby neenee1999Comment: Graphically the photo is nice - the two color background, white banner through one side. The bunny is crisply portrayed. The banner is a bit odd - It doesn't go all the way to the bottom and seems cut off at the top. The bunny himself (herself?) is adorable, but a bit corny. The lighting seems a bit yellow, color correction would solve that. |

Equineby jonpinkComment: Interesting angle on a horse. I like how the DOF differentiates between one side and the other. The eyes glows, the coat and bone structure nicely defined. 8 |

Year of the Rabbitby MWittComment: This picture requires three looks - #1 hey, that's a tree not a rabbit #2 Oh! cool, look rabbit tracks #3 Wait! Those tracks go THROUGH the tree!
obviously I think this is very creative. I like the composition of the tree hanging down over the scene, reminds me of a bonsai tree - small but looks big, or big but looks small. I like seeing all those tiny pine needles poking out from the snow. When I look really closely they seem a bit too sharpened maybe. small matter. 9 |

"The Look"by PedroComment: What a look indeed. The DOF works well to distinguish the subject from the background even though they are the same color. I might crop the top and make it a more square composition. |

Fallow Deerby RHoldenSrComment: Nice use of DOF, makes a great background. Balances composition - those are great ears, like the hairs bristling off the neck. |

No Worries... Be Happy!by RiderGalComment: Talya, Just stumbled across this - I missed the december free study and haven't seen them. This is a fabulous capture - such a true moment, great emotion, nice composition - I love her wavy hair flying all over. I too am surprised it didn't get more than a 6. I'd say at least 9! Good work.
