Low-Key Rembrant Lightby JoelHSmithComment: This young man does have an air of the young Rembrant. It is a very simple honest portrait. It doesn't say much about the subject however - a bit of a year-book photo, but a good one as far as those go. |

Where's the Party?by photomComment: This child has a terrific face! That smile and those eyes. I think the necklace just distracts from from what is important - I see you are highlighting this kids "party personality," perhaps a less bold necklace? Something that matched the subjects pale complexion better? Also the halo of light arounf the face is quite unnatural. I'd crop closer to the face. |

Photographers portraitby birgirComment: Interesting set up - I like the differing shades of purple and the lines and different angles - it suits the angle of his kneesin the chair, and the tilt of the camera. I like the angles lighting. I wish the expression on his face was less pained or bored. The face is the central piece here it should carry more weight, show more of the subject's character. |

Annaby heidaComment: I like the colors in this picture - the background, her hair, her eyes and skin tone. The lighting on the face is good, focus is sharp. What I cant get past is that the pose seems uncomfortable. Perhaps if you included the bottom arm, or just a little more context all around. 6 |

flirtaceous. by theodor38Comment: Well, how can you go wrong with a face like that? Technically very goosd with the lighting and focus.I like your choice of the white background and the textured white shirt - the dark hair and eyes really pop out at you as a result. The expression on the face and the gesture of the hand are very telling and natural, combined with the composition that places the subject at the left side off the frame looking out - all this creates a story that goes beyond the individual. There is a lot of personality, but the viewer is left wondering "what or who is he looking at?" Well done! A favorite of mine. 9 |

Didiby RoosterComment: I love your choice of background - adds charcter and texture without being too distracting. I like the colors also - the dark wood, her golden skin, and the earthy green of the shawl. The pose is very relaxes and contemplative. My only complaint would be that the lighting is too flat - I like how it is soft on her face, but I'd like to see some contrast with the background - |

Aliciaby jodiecostonComment: This unusual pose makes this photo stand out from all the more typical (right side up) portraits in the challenge, She almost seems to be floating, especially with all that soft hair. Those dreamy almost closed eyes give an etherial air to the photo as well. |

Veroniqueby sahkoComment: This is a unique pose and angle. They give character to this big eyed woman. I like all the gray and black in this picture, makes her pale flesh tone stand out more. One of my favorites. |

Group Hugby moviemanComment: Ironic - OUCH! I like the B&W I like the shadows and reflection. I might have composed the pins a bit more spread apart so the two on the left dont overlap so. |
