WWII Vetransby Dim7Comment: I like all the colors. There is no point of focus in this very busy image. The resolution also doesn't seem great. I like the sea of veterans - it just needs a anchor point, or a point of reference - an oject, a place, a person - |

Facing The Wrathby Faye PekasComment: Dramatic composition. I wish the water had more details - exposed darker, or burned in afterward. |

Soup kitchen volunteersby NodeComment: great subject. I like your focus on the hands and the food. The image is a bit busy - I would like to see a shot that came in closer and at an angle that avoind the jumble in th background. More even lighting would be better too - too bright and harsh on the right , while dark and lacking contrast on the left. |

Ask Notby strangeghostComment: I like the sense of movement you get from the blurring on the edges. Light is a bit bright off the helmet. Very dramatic. |

All Gave Some - Some Gave All by ClubJuggleComment: beautiful - the reflection gives the illusion of hands in prayer. I like the other hands too - the viewer can see the connections between the living and the connections with those gone. Wish it were just a bit sharper. 9 |

Unsungby TranquilComment: A vivid expression on this young man's face, that and the bright yellow and red make this very compelling. I wish the background were blurred either using depth of focus or by selectively blurring in photoshop. His face could be a bit sharper. |

Doing Their Duty...by lizzyc3Comment: A nice portrait. I like the black and white, help to bring attention to his nice face. I wish it were sharper and I wish his expression revealed more about him. |

Forgotten Heroesby kirtiebuComment: Dramatic subject - I particularly like the rusted and broken fence, which speaks to your title nicely. I think the use of a narrower depth of focus would help the background recede and help the voewer concentrate on the subject. The trees just make this too busy. |

My chihuahua, he is loving & protectingby ladpupmoeComment: Sometimes small heros are the best. I like the light colored fur against the light background - the spiky collar really pops out and says, "I'm may look cute, but I'm tough were it counts." Lighting this a bit more dramatically - bright on one side and dark on another, might have differentiated the dog from the background a bit more. Also could be a bit sharper. |
