 This was taken on the Oregon coast. The ocean was wild as the tide was coming in. The waves would have reached several stories. This brave soul stood by the shore, getting soaked.

Good symbolic take on the challenge. Maybe a little esoteric for most voters but I quite like this.

Very interesting photo but I felt it was a bit off topic. I know I wouldn't want to be standing there either.

Although this is a good photo (although it seems there's some artifacting in the spray), I just don't see a strong connection in the challenge. Is he "heroic" for standing there? I don't think so. Courageously stupid maybe :)

Scary stuff. Hero or foolhardy? I think if you increased the levels, the water would have more definition. 7

Dramatic composition. I wish the water had more details - exposed darker, or burned in afterward.

Awesome shot!!! How on earth did you persuade that man to stand there??? Anyway, don´t know if you will win since I don´t consider this "heroic" but more "suicidal" but the shot itself just blows me away. 10
