The Torch Of Freedomby GeneralEComment: An interesting idea, worthy of thanks. Wish your model were lit betterand in better focus, and I could see on her face how she feels about the freedom she is charged with. Where is she going with it? What will she do with it? I get the light in the darkness and the seriousness, but I need more. |

My son Jamesby NeuferlandComment: A classic Thanksgiving candid. One for the album, show those first girlfriends. But technicaly it is a bit lacking. The flash is bright and glaring and picks out details in the busy background that pull our eye away from the face, and leaves bold shadows in an unnatural way. The focus is a bit off. His hand is cropped in the left in an odd way. You've captured a moment, but not in any planed out way. |

Friend Chrisby undieyatchComment: You've got an interresting glow in your lighting - unearthly. The shadow over his eye hides the details of what looks like a soft peaceful look. I'm not sure of your choice of the blinds in the background - his face is so natural and organic, and they are so angular. I'd like to see more of his head to the right and less of the blinds. |

My son Leifurby tyrkinnComment: Leifur the Lucky! I hope! Til hamingju. What a rosey charmer! I love the half a wink and that baby smile. The light has captured that beautiful soft baby skin. You've maximized his face, and minimized the background - good - but wish we could have the top of his head too. |

Thanks for this world!by AlexysComment: peaceful colors. I like the atmopheric effect the blurred motion of the tree and the waves gives. The balance is a bit off for me... I'd like to see the whole tree and more of the beach. There is just too much sky, and the moon doesn't fill it being so small and blurry. |

Bread and Wineby e301Comment: good subject. Nice red drape in the background. The red wine is a little lost against all the red tho'. I'd crop the bottom edge of the cutting board and on the right just loose the bright line in the cloth. The lighting in a bit flat - more from the left or a white board to bounce the light back better? |

Thankful for the ride of my lifeby jonpinkComment: Fun. I like the colorful reflections in the water, blurred by the waters movement, and of course the blurr of the wheel. I might crop in a bit more from the top and the right. Less of that dark sky would pull our attention in more. Having the wheel definitely off center creates a nice tension and I'd crop on the right rather thanthe left because I like the delicate distant lights moe than the solid gold of the building. |

Loganby dsidwellComment: what a charming face! You've done well to put him in a white shirt, and on a neutral background, without having it look posed, actually it looks quite spontanious. His hair is beautifully crisp and shiny. I wish the lighting on his face gave more shading it is a bit flat. But overall it is a good portrait and would make a lovely holiday card! |
