Hello from the Critique Club!

This is a wonderful shot that has a lot of potential. The colors are very deep and rich and really add to the shot. Sadly the focus is wanting a great deal. I'm guessing it was windy from the waves on the water but the lack of clarity on the tree and water and rest of the shot really detracts from it's overall beauty. Also the tree getting cut off on the right, bit of beach and the trashcan in the lower right corner ends up being a distraction, perhaps a tighter crop? The use of negative space on the top is well done, helping take you into the sky and off into infinity :)

Hope this helps.

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

Wonderful light and good "thanks" message.

Technically, I think this might have worked better as a landscape. I find too much space at the top above the moon, and overall too much blue sky. Also, I note that the horizon is tilted. I think it would have been better with enough DOF to have the tree sharp as well.

Bit tilted to the left but a sound idea.

Tree is a little blurred, but the colours are beautiful!

Wish you could have cleared this up. The idea is true for the Challenge.

peaceful colors. I like the atmopheric effect the blurred motion of the tree and the waves gives. The balance is a bit off for me... I'd like to see the whole tree and more of the beach. There is just too much sky, and the moon doesn't fill it being so small and blurry.

Pretty picture!

Bad Points: so out of focus, no excuse
Good Points: great colors and nice composition
Overall Score: a 2 should be a 1 for being so OOF, but i think your idea and eye was very good.

I am thankful for this also.....

Nice sunset colours and the moon is a bonus. It is a bit blurry. Tripod or sturdy support would help the sharpness. Also cropping a bit at the top would concentrate the attention to the scenery.

I share your sentiment! This is a little too blurred, although I can still appreciate the serene beauty of the scene before you.
