I like the bizarre quality of this shot.. it's very well photographed and the model's expression is one that suits the title....on the other hand I am having difficulty seeing how it meets the challenge (an abstract portrayal of writer's block maybe?) ... but I only subtract one point for that... :)

The composition of this shot is good... I can see why you found it a good opportunity for this challenge... I admire your courage in shooting one of the most difficult (IMHO) photos to expose correctly - you exposed for the darker interior and that made the lighter parts blow out - I like the textures in the ground and the wall. The right side should be cropped tighter.

This is a very interesting photo, I love the shapes/colors and the broken window in the foreground is a nice touch... I am having some difficulty seeing how this shot meets the challenge - but I do like (very much) the abstract quality.

this is a nice portrait - and I am sure that you know about the subject's past - however, I don't so I am having some difficulty understanding why his environment is a bar and not a ring or a gym unless you were referring to bar fighting. Still, this is a well done photo and I like the models face.

I love the way this little one is laying on the rocks.. the OOF rock in the foreground adds to the overall composition - I would like to see more of his face and in crisper focus..more DOF would have made this an even better photo

Really fine capture - crisp focuss - great colors and I like the way you got the reflection in the water - the grebes here are not as colorful, or none that I have seen anyway (California)
