This is a nice photo. but is it a litle bit yellow. And I would like to see the eye a litle bit stronger. And thanks for your comments, I will learn from it.,

Awesome shot! This is exactly the type of image I envisioned when this challenge was announced. It's coming across a little yellow, but very powerful. Good luck, I hope it does well!

Almost definitive, in its way. There's an implication that is slightly at odds with the actual character shown, too, which for me only adds to the impact.

I certainly love the color in this image, not sure how you achieved, it's like the color(s) is desaturated but still primary to the photo. The crop works very well for this portrait.

Not bad, like the mood and compositino along with the DOF in this shot but I am not really fond of the lighting, or the lack of it mostly, think some small amount of fill lighting would have helped here, small but still some of it. Still gave it a 7, something about this shot is connecting with me.

Wonderful processing and tone to evoke a tough timeless appeal.

Super; this should win something; reminds me of the Dropkick Murphys song "Barroom Hero." Awesome skin tones and perspective. Good luck.

He does not seem to be in a boxing environment. Lighting is probably as good as it could be, but it gives his skin a strange color.

this is a nice portrait - and I am sure that you know about the subject's past - however, I don't so I am having some difficulty understanding why his environment is a bar and not a ring or a gym unless you were referring to bar fighting. Still, this is a well done photo and I like the models face.

I don't get "boxer" from this. Maybe bartender or bar patron.

This reminds me of something out of an old british tv show or movie. Great shot.

Strong image, powerful. Great clarity in your subject and then having the Bar sign behind establishes the environment perfectly. Could illustrate a feature magazine article with ease

Only thing that connects that man to boxing is the title and that is not what this challenge is about... unless you want to think that every boxer hangs around in bars. Like the colors and the photo but it does not fit the title.

wish the focus was more sharp on his face, too soft. but i like the overall composition. 5

The title says one thing, the bg says another. Confusing.

very good...perhaps a little dark on the right side of the face, but that probably couldn't be helped...maybe some dodging and burning? Very well done

Good portrait and composition and I like the colour treatment. I think this is a bit title dependent though for its 'environmental' connection. Had you used, say, Bartender, instead, it would have fallen into place perfectly.
