Snowy Egretby TammsterComment: I like your edit both ways ... as Mary noted, it lookes like a painting ... hard getting detail in all white birds but the way you pped it, it looks like that's what you had planned. |

LA2O9234V.jpgby ellamayComment: Excellent ellamay - glad to hear that you are a responsible photographer ... many aren't and have given wild life photographers a bad name ... I know of one nest that had golden eagles in it and some people set up light triggers to get some night shots when the parent was returning with it's kill ... the light scared the parent so badly that it stayed away a long time, leaving the chicks to grow cold - not a story I witnessed but one told to me by a person involved in research and rescue of (what were once) endangered peregrines.. Your bear shots are great ... I live in California and I don't know of any place to go to photograph them ... maybe someone from my area could pass on some info ... I am 90 miles south of San Fran. Mooseby scottiehamComment: Excellent job getting him so crisp at such a high ISO ... Love the way the water is just parting in front of him .. they are not the most graceful of creatures but very imposing when they are full grown. |

Broad Wingby MelonMusketeerComment: These birds of prey have such excellent eyesight and instinct that they are difficult to shoot .... Like the detail in it's feet - powerful feet that can hold on to and carry off quite heavy prey |

Fight!by Delta_6Comment: I love seagull shots - I think they are underrated. There are so many varieties and colors ... and when they are in a huge flock and take off, they really are something to see... |
