Flaming June by Lord F. Leightonby beafliesComment: I have always loved and gave a print of flaming June to a friend of mine named June. I think you have paid great homage to the original in this wonderful rendition. |

Buckby FromacComment: This shot makes me miss home. I now live in CA and all I see are mule tail deer and they just lack the majesty of the white tails.
This is a solid shot that perfectly showcases the defiant buck guarding his does. You were very fortunate to get so close ..they have been known to attack humans - glad you weren't :)
As others have stated, a bit of cloning would improve the composition, maybe sharpen a tad more but you might want to just leave it as you shot it .. memories are sometimes more important.
I really like that you caught the glint in his eye. |

Barn in black & whiteby FromacComment: Well with that many views, it deserves a comment or 1000 - wonderful composition and post processing .. the sky is so dramatic that it almost over powers the landscape but doesn't ... you were able to achieve a very good balance. It looks so much like my late grandfather's barn and land that it gives me a feeling of deja vu - thanks for posting this. |

Balance Beamby MagnumphotographyComment: Excellent find! Finding a heron's nest isn't all that hard - what is hard is getting a shot of it as they usually build them so far up in a tree top you can't get a shot. You did it! Nice job getting detail under the wings too. Message edited by author 2010-06-30 13:15:54. |
