So the sharpen function isn't also cranking the processing step...make sense? I don't know if that's an issue in PS or other "grown up" edit programs or not?
I's like to hear any thoughts on this...

actually, it's funny you say this Jeannie, b/c I feel the same way. I didn't want to crop out the curve of the leaf on the left..so I pretty much kept it as I saw it, and took the littlest bit from the top and the right (which did shorten that leaf line a bit, but I could live with it!) oh, the cute little one in Free Study (with the angelic expression) was so much more to my liking..(the cat I mean). The 2 distinctly different captures provider a good reminder of nature's diversity.

VERY strong compositon and image. I like it! and you've yet again captured an incredible expression. those eyes rock!!
