I must say, I'm disappointed in the score. I am really proud of this photo, and I think it fits the challenge perfectly. I didn't crop it close to the bird, because I like seeing the environment/setting and because the challenge said to use the color to have the subject stand out from the rest of the photo. Oh well, the score is not that important, and I have a photo I really like.

I am still so jealous you got this fantastic image Julie!! I have been dying to catch a hummer & they know it, I am sure they deliberately taunt me as I sit in the garden, waiting and waiting...then they come and bZZZZZZZZZZZ right past me they go..darn it!

Julianne, this one met the challenge perfectly. When I looked at the thumbs on the Team Suck listing (I didn't get a chance to vote), this is the first one I opened. I, too, like the environment, and it's rare that you see these guys sitting and resting.

Its an impressive image. colours are good but not bright and saturated. Hue of overcast daylight is obvious on all the elements. Subject is bright and clear and is nicely placed but there are too many distracting elements around it.

Love the colors of the hummer...but would like to have seen this cropped more to focus on the bird more.
