Day-11-slice-of-life.jpgby joynimComment: Congrats to Nimue! A marvelous image, you've captured her exuberance perfectly! As for the sky, I'm one of those odd people who actually like blown backgrounds in the right circumstances, and this sure fits the bill :-) I think this is great as is, what a little cutey pie! |

Day 9 slice of life.jpgby joynimComment: She is absolutely gorgeous! I know nothing about portrait photography (except of cats of course), but I couldn't help playing with such a lovely image! Hope you don't mind, here's what I did:
Cropped, added a channel mixer layer to convert to b&w then reduced the layer opacity to 76%, used the burn tool to darken the left side of her face to blend into shadow, did a bit of unsharp mask just around her eyes and mouth, then brightened her eyes a tad by making a copy of the irises and setting the layer opacity to 80%. I don't know about it being better processed, but it is different :-)

Curious but waryby cogeroxComment: Love the backlighting, and the shot looks so wonderful in dark b&w! That front cow looks pretty menacing, good thing there was a fence :-) |

Brushesby JutildaComment: You make brushes look GOOOOD! Love the fact that one is in your face while the other is just a trace. I'm getting so hooked on this type of processing!!! |

Slice of Live - Old, Old Barnby JLCComment: I love old barns, this is a beut! Love the nice tones and textures you've captured here! And I agree with the other commenters, this would look awesome with a vintage processing style as well :-) |

Day-12.jpgby ivale28Comment: Wow, that's some paint job! Love your perspective in this shot as well! Bet it would look awesome in a high contrast b&w, that would really bring out the cool shapes :-) |

Day-11.jpgby ivale28Comment: Love the DOF, and the great diagonal created by the red rail! The primarily bluish looking cars in the background with their fronts lined up along the rail look very cool. You've made a simple subject look fantastic!! |
