Excellent idea. I'm assuming that the thought is the water is very smooth and therefore the beverage must be too. However, the long exposer and low lighting make the water seem overly grey. Highlights on the rock and bottle are a little troubling too. Perhaps with a brighter more diffuse source you could reduce the highlights and brighten the scene overall.

Without anything in the background to give a sense of space it just looks like they are on the table. Adding an interesting background would help quite a bit.

The composition seems very tight. Some more space on the sides and top would greatly improve the shot. Was contrast and saturation increased? If it was I think it might have been increased a little too much. While very interesting I don't know how extraordinary it is, well, for me anyway. I've often watched the artists stack rocks down at Chrissy Field.
