I'm glad you mentioned the tissue paper. I'd never think of that and am always interested in how things are done. I'm (embarrassed to say) not sure what anise seed pods are, but I really like the image and composition. The processing reminds me of a post card, and this almost looks like it's on a white sandy beach somewhere.

My mother is very creative in the sewing arts as well. And I'm very very sentimental. Very sweet and sad image. But I'm glad that you're improvising and doing something better with it than just tossing it. It does deserve so much more. Very nice image and story.
