RoCkStAr In ThE mAkInGby JuliadavisComment: This B&W is nice and noise free :) I think your model could have looked a bit more "punk" but she is pretty and that certainly doesn't hurt this shot :) I like the rock wall behind her, it adds a lovely bit of hardness and texture to the composition. I love the different shapes you have going on too... the checks in the guitar strap, the lines on the guitar, and the stripes on her shirt and shorts. Very creative and well composed overall. Plus, it made me smile :) |

4th Grade Recorder Classby sagestudioComment: I would like this more if both of the girls were in focus I believe. It certainly works for a music challenge and the colours are unbelievable and very sharp and crisp. Those girls look like they are concentrating so hard on the music in front of them too :) Lovely. |

Young Entertainer...Future American Idolby L1Comment: What a cute little face he has :) I love B&W and this photo is no exception. I see a lot of grain and I am going to assume that was intentional. His espression is spot on and the microphone makes him look like a rock star. The unusual angle is nice and made me laugh when I opened it :) Fun shot! |

Escapeby levyj413Comment: What a wonderful Black and White image :) It truly speaks volumes to anyone that has played an instrument. The light, frame, focus, and expression are all really nicely put together. |

Keeping the beatby spartacus9Comment: Oh Mr. Metronome, how I hated thee! LOL Seriously, did you notice that the metronome has a face and how it looks like a "serious" music prof?? The flute is mighty beautiful too :) Nice composition! |

PracticePracticePracticeby mpetersComment: I'm certainly feelin this! There are nice shadows and a mood jumps out at me immediatley making me sympathize with the model :) I like the fact that the horn doesn't look brand new too... looks more used, practiced with, banged around LOL |

I'm sure he won't bite...by darnokComment: Sweet spidy pic! WOW he has A LOT of eyes! I had never heard of a rainspider before this moment and now I simply MUST go and look it up :P I love the depth, clarity, colour, and focus! The crop is perfect IMHO because I like to be drawn to an insects' face and not be studying the rest of the body so much... good use of DOF is a nice way of accomplishing this too... as you already know :) |

On the Moveby cpanaiotiComment: CONGRATULATIONS!! This is my first ant :) Let me begin by saying, this is an AMAZING macro! So hard to catch these little boogers in the act :) You seem to have the same leg problem I was having with my Big Daddy photo... some are blurry and some are not. Unfortunantly, there is no fix for this, you just gotta kinda have to live with it :) For me, that minute detail doesn't detract from the image AT ALL! I find that it adds that sense of motion. Makes it interesting to look at :) Thank you for sharing this with me :) |
