I don't know much about the post ptocessing angle - not there yet, but I have to say that I like the way your daughter and the clarinet share the space. They both have importance and impact. |

Nice work Jeffrey. I like the "emotion" that everyone is talking about here. My only complaint is the serene emotion doesn't seem to fit the stark background. Beyond that it is a great capture. I am a fan of side lighting so you get points from me. I also like the grayscale treatment. I really do like the expression, it really makes the picture. |

Nice shot, lighting, composition and contrast. Nice score and placement too. Well done. Oh yeah, and nice model! |

Great expression, looks like she's blowing her heart out on that clarinet. I saw your thread on PP. I really liked some of the ideas, especially the clouds to help pop the subject. Her face could use a little work in the lighting department, but you did nicely capture the whole tonal range here. |

Nice job Jeffrey, I like the BW portrait. I like the way the background fades between dark and light. The facial expression is great. |

What a wonderful Black and White image :) It truly speaks volumes to anyone that has played an instrument. The light, frame, focus, and expression are all really nicely put together. |

I like the use of closed eyes to capture focus - however, I am not a fan of the lighting on her face - a little fill lighting to bring out some highlights in her hair and to take out the severe shadow on her left cheek might help. |
