It looks to me like you worked the contrast about right to get the doors to have at least a little detail for this image. I agree that a little darker, and dodge the area with the doors would be a little better if you have the tools for that.
Winter offers opportunities for this type photos not available in the summer or spring when the trees are all filled out with leaves.

I like the way the limbs over the water are mirrored, and the foggy morning look. I am sort of "on the fence" about the fence. I like it on it's own merit, and wonder if it should be so prominent in the image with the given title. I like the way the fog reduces the background putting attention on the subjects nearer the camera. This seems a very calming and still scene. Thanks for sharing your fav tree with all of us.

This is one of my fav types of flowers, the iris. This is an image that would have done very well in the recent "Shallow DOF" challenge. These are difficult to photograph well, and you have it just right with this image.

I like the curve of the pine fitting into the arch of the birch limb near it. Did anyone else notice that if you cover most of the upper part of the birch that the trunk looks like a hand?

This looks to be a sort of quiet place, and a very calm looking deer. Good capture with correct exposure.
